Berliner in the doubles final

The International German Junior Championships 2019, which are held at the traditional club LTTC "Rot-Weiss" at Lake Hundekehle, are in their decisive phase. On Friday, the quarterfinals in the individual and the semi-finals in the doubles were held. The match of 16-set Czech Martin Krumich against Hamad Medjedovic, number 6 of the tournament, was clearly dominated by the Serb with 6: 1, 6: 1. In the semifinals, he now meets the only remaining German in singles in the tournament Milan Welte. Welte prevailed in an exciting match against the Austrian Lukas Neumayer 7:5, 7:5. Welte made the decisive breaks at 5:5 in each set. So far, he has not lost a set in Berlin this year.

They ran, fought bravely, but dropped out from the International German Junior Championships at LTTC "Rot-Weiss" at Lake Hundekehle. The quarterfinals of the junior girl’s on Friday take place without German participation.

The Italian Arianna Zucchini defeated Julia Middendorf in a thrilling match barely 6:4, 7:6 (8). The German could not use several of her chances. She missed a set point at 8:7 in the tiebreak and Zucchini won the set 10:8 and reached the quarter finals on Friday.

On the second day of the International German Junior Championships, which take place for the 13th time at the LTTC "Rot-Weiss" Berlin, the favorite among the juniors dropped out just like first seeded Swede Kevin Chahoud who had already lost in his opening match against Lorenzo Rottoli from Italy 4:6, 0:6.  The German Alexandra Vecic discomforted by the tropical temperatures lost against the Danish Hannah Viller Möller 2: 6, 6: 7 (4). The Danish girl now meets Joelle Lilly Sophie Steur from Germany, who has  defeated Marketa Panackova from the Czech Republic with 6:2, 6:2, in the third round on Thursday.
